Location

This point overlaps with Yinlingquan (SP 9), which is located on the medial aspect of the lower leg, in the depression posterior and inferior to the medial condyle of the tibia.

Indications
Primary: 
  • Heartburn, acid reflux, diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, diabetes
  • Nephritis, proteinuria, cystitis, frequent urination
Secondary: 
  • Belching, mei he qi (plum-pit qi)
  • Heart disease with or without high blood pressure, dizziness, headache, insomnia
  • Kidney deficiency disorders: impotence, premature ejaculation, dysmenorrhea, pain associated with the bones (especially shoulder pain, neck and upper back pain in the T1, T2 area)
  • Urinary and kidney disorders, including lin zheng (dysuria syndrome), xue lin (bloody dysuria), gao lin (cloudy dysuria), ascites, edema
  • Radiating arm pain and neck tightness/pain, SCM tightness and pain, tightness along the BL channel in the neck and upper back
