Location

This point is 10 cun proximal to the wrist crease on the LU or PC channel, 3 cun proximal to Dishi (T 33.14).

Indications
Primary: 
  • Asthma
  • Palpitations, tachycardia
Secondary: 
  • Early stages of common cold, rhinitis, bronchitis
  • Arrhythmia, cardiac insufficiency, chest fullness and distension
  • Headache, upper body disorders, back pain, arm pain

Techniques
  • Needle perpendicularly 1 - 1.5 cun.
  • Needle contralateral to the affected area. If the condition is in the center, needle bilaterally.
  • Use shallow insertion for respiratory issues or conditions that are recent in onset.
  • Use deep insertion for cardiac disorders or chronic, long-term conditions.
  • Since this point is on or in between the PC or LU channel, select the PC channel when treating cardiovascular problems and use the LU channel when treating respiratory disorders.
